Code of Conduct & Professional Ethics

Violation of below standards may result in disqualification of language specialist and termination of the contract.  allingus ensures that all language specialists associated to its services strictly adhere to the following universally accepted standards and practices:

As a language specialist and as a member of allingus family I hereby declare that;

• I will respect and support protection and maintenance of the cultural and linguistic diversity of our world.

• I will translate into my mother tongue; or into my foreign language - only if, I have highly specialized knowledge, education, experience and access to up-to-date information resources on a specific field.

• I commit myself to the highest standards of performance, ethical behavior, and business practices.

• I will continually improve my skills and knowledge and will keep informed of, adhere to, and conform my practices to all statutes.

• I will constantly update my technical background, knowledge and experience on translation software and tools.

• I will actively participate in translation or interpretation training and certification programs offered to me by allingus. 

• I will accept assignments from allingus for which only I am fully qualified and available.

• I will faithfully and accurately reproduce in the target language the closest natural equivalent of the source-language message provided to me by allingus without embellishment, omission, or explanation. 

• I will not engage in any other activities that may be reasonably construed to constitute a service other than interpreting or translating during the course of performing my duties.

• I will, at all times, be neutral, impartial and unbiased with respect to all interested parties of any project given to me by allingus.

• I will not delegate work nor accept delegated work without the full consent of allingus.

• If I am assigned to a temporary on-site project in the premises of a customer of allingus, I will identify and introduce myself as staff member of allingus, and will not give my personal details to the customer without prior and full consent of allingus.

• I will always safeguard the interests of allingus and I will refrain from any action or unprofessional or dishonorable behavior which may result detrimental to the reputation and public image of allingus. 

• I will not, at any time, directly or indirectly, disclose to any third party, for any purpose whatsoever, any confidential information transmitted to me by allingus during an assignment - unless otherwise required by law.  Such knowledge may include but is not limited to customer contact information, passwords or access codes, work or manufacturing procedures, hardware or software operating information and commercial secrets.

• I will carefully observe and adhere to the general conditions and deadlines set by allingus and ensure punctuality; if lateness is unavoidable, will advice allingus immediately.

• I will not accept any form of reward or gift (except token gifts customary in some cultures), whether in cash or otherwise, for translation or interpreting work other than agreed payment by allingus.
